Natural Look Labiaplasty: When Results Don't Match Expectations

Photos

The patient is 9 days post-op from labiaplasty and feeling unsure about her results. While she acknowledges that it’s still early in the healing process, she feels that her swelling has mostly gone down and that her labia minora still appears more prominent than she expected. Her doctor prioritized a natural look, which may explain why more of the labia remains visible. She appreciates the improvements compared to before, as well as her smooth recovery with no pain or sensation loss, but is feeling slightly disappointed because she hoped for a neater, more tucked-in appearance. At this stage, healing is still ongoing, and some residual swelling may remain, even if it’s less noticeable. Over the next few weeks to months, the tissue will continue to settle and refine, and the final result will become clearer. While she is hoping to avoid a revision, she is monitoring the changes and giving her body time to fully heal.
