Joseph Raniere November 17th 2015 I had a tummy tuck and liposuction. This surgery would be the thing to put me down for one year of extreme pain and six more surgeries to fix the doctors mistake. On December 23rd 2015 my wound opened up with a medium size hole. I went immediately into the office to see my doctor who was a cruise at the time. I saw another partner in the practice who stated I had an abscessed suture. After he dug around a few minutes he cut some suture out and told me to pack the wound. Also to come back after the holidays to see my surgeon. That started the every two week visits and more "digging" and packing appointments. Fast forward to the end of February where the office told me there was nothing they could do for me and turned me over to the wound care at Piedmont Henry. I went on to had six more surgeries to remove sutures that I was told were to dissolve inside my body. Surprise the surgeon didn't put the correct sutures in my body. For his mistake I've paid over $15,000 in hospital, doctors and supplies. I've had the doctors and nurses that worked on me afterward tell me to sue the surgeon for his error. I haven't decided if that what I'm going to do or not. I shouldn't have to pay for a mistake and be in extreme pain for over a year. I also have a horrible scar on my stomach from being opened and reopened six times. As of now I'm waiting to see if anymore sutures work their way up to see if I will need more surgeries. What I thought would be a wonderful thing has turned out to be my biggest mistake. The bad part is another surgeon did my breast reduction a few years ago and he was absolutely wonderful.

Dr. Feldman is the greatest! He did my tummy tuck and everything turned out fantastic! The staff and everyone was very helpful and nice! I am getting ready for the next surgery and I don’t doubt that it well turn out fantastic to! Maggie

It’s taken me awhile to write this review, but when it popped up on my timeline I felt compelled. The front office staff and nurses were extremely uncommunicative. I constantly called them about my appointment date, and pre op procedures. No ONE ever called me, it was always vice versa, to the point I had to complain to the manager about the lack of returned calls or information. I was told about the price of the procedure the day of my pre op. My procedure was a breast reduction, I will share the blame in not inquiring sooner as to my fees after insurance pays however I would have thought I would have been told expenses prior to pre op. I had to cancel the procedure as I was not ready to pay the amount that day, and I was given a refund for my deposit, all this happened the day before the state shut down due to Covid. I called them back after Covid was over and tried to reschedule because I didn’t want to change doctors and go through the entire process again, I was told we will get you scheduled and call you back tomorrow with details. Never heard back from them! I called several times and was told the same thing, I even requested my records to take somewhere else. No returned phone call! I don’t want to play a race card but honestly the fact that I’m black and everyone in the office is white made me question why I was being ignored to this degree, do they treat all customers this way? Lack of communication, no follow up, not following proper procedure or if it was because I was black. Either way I shouldn’t feel like I’m being discriminated against, but that is exactly how I felt. After dealing with this company I intentionally searched for POC as my surgeon.

I am a breast cancer survivor and Dr Raniere did my reconstructive surgery. He and his staff were the most compassionate and professional people you would want to deal with in a situation like this. I just love Dr Raniere and his staff.
