Bruce W. Van Natta, MD (inside Meridian Plastic Surgery Center)

This review is late and I thought I had left a review a couple years ago and must not have put it on here. I’ve had one procedure done by dr Bruce and two consultations. I will say I am quite shocked at the bad reviews. Here’s my experience. I’m sorry it’s long but it’s detailed. PLEASE READ if you are considering Dr Bruce!!! I went to two other doctors before landing with dr Bruce in 2020. Both big names in Indiana. They were rude, I felt like I couldn’t ask questions, they spoke to me like what I wanted was stupid and I was uneducated. And on top of it I felt like they were wanting to sell me more surgery than I needed. Dr Bruce was my 3rd consult for my first procedure. When arriving they were nice and didn’t speak to me like I was an issue. Dr Bruce came in and sat with me, let me ask any question or concerns I wanted. We spoke on stomach/flank lipo. He even offered to place it in my hip dips for no charge which I thought was extremely nice and he did not have to do that. It was very sweet. The consult left me feeling calmer, his personality is professional, and I felt confident in him. I went to procedure day NERVOUS. His team helped me calm down. Procedure went well. No crazy pain right after. I had no issues. He gave me clear instructions. Even went to a post lipo masseuse and every time I went she would say “who was your doctor?!?! I have never seen this minimal amount of bruising for anyone before! He didn’t such a good job and took such great care of you” which made me feel so great and was such a relief. And she’s right. Minimal bruising and regular pain. Nothing crazy. Just nerves repairing pain which is normal with any procedure. I healed great. He called to check up on me a day or two after the procedure. Never had an issue and it’s 2025. Fast forward I went back to get a breast aug consultation in 2022. Same personality, same professionalism, not rushing me. He knew exactly what I wanted, how I was feeling, and said these exact words to me “honey we can do this procedure but I’m going to tell you right now, people pay me to leave looking like you and I don’t think you need to do this. I can if you want but you look great as you are” and that has stuck with me in a world where it SEEMS like everyone in the plastic surgery world just wants your money. I reallllly applauded him for that and appreciated it more than he knows. Since 2022 I have lost a significant amount of weight and plan to have him do my breast augmentation in the next couple years. I don’t think I could even consider going to anyone else in my life. And I’ve moved 7 hours away and I will still make sure I make it back up to Indiana to have him to my body procedures. I’m so glad I went to Dr Bruce. Thank you Dr Bruce and I hope to see you soon.

Dr. Bruce Van Natta is THE boob doc in Indy; no comparison. I received my first breast augmentation Summer 2020. After the swelling had gone down, I noticed a weird sort of divot near my chest bone/rib cage that I'd never seen before, and he surely wouldn't have noticed. I went back in the fall of '20 with concerns about it, and he realized I had a concave bone abnormality that was only visible now because of the weight of the new breast. He's a genius and came up with an amazing solution. He redid the WHOLE PROCEDURE including liposuction of the tummy to retrieve fat to essentially fill the divot, all at no additional charge for his time and work. I was only charged for the anesthesiologist and OR fees. Not only that, we went a little bigger - still no charge - even though that was a change I initiated. To this day, my boobs are amazing - no divot and no weird fat bulge (which truly speaks to his incredible work). They look and feel real, and most people can't believe they're not.

Dr Van Natta is an amazing surgeon! He performed my initial breast augmentation in November of 2005 and then replaced them with gel in 2017! His receipe for recovery had me up and moving that evening! I went to dinner and then did an escape room with friends and didn't need any narcotics for pain! I wouldn't ever trust anyone else with my body. He has a amazing bedside manner and his staff share his energy and strong work ethic! I have always been impressed with every visit and phone call from his office. He is considerate of your time and is highly professional!

This review is a few years late, but my experience at Meridian Plastic Surgery Center has stuck with me and I feel the need to share. On March 1 of 2021, I visited Dr. Van Natta for a procedure that had absolutely nothing to do with my upper body. Towards the end of the consultation, and when I was still almost completely naked in front of him, he proceeded to ask, "Now what are we going to do with these pitiful breasts?". Stunned and horrified, I think I muttered something about liking my breasts just fine. I finished the consultation and left without saying a word to him or anyone else, which I've clearly regretted ever since. Whatever compels someone to use the opportunity to take a dig at someone's body when they're at their most vulnerable, and coming to you for your expertise and professionalism, is repulsive and shameful. I tell people this story every time the subject of despicable men comes up. His words, which I still remember very clearly, have yielded the same reaction each time; utter disgust. If this man is still working, do better.

Dr. Van Natta is the best! He has a great team, amazing bedside manner, very knowledgeable, and he is just very good at what he does! I did a robust research and multiple consultations when selecting a doctor for a breast lift and couldn’t be happier with my choice, honestly when I met him I canceled the last consult I had scheduled as I knew Dr. Van Netta was the best choice. I have 3 friends who used him and they are, as well as me, very happy with surgery, recovery and results.
