Worst experience I have dealt with. For starters, I came here because I wanted to see about testing and getting diagnosed with PCOS or endometriosis. Originally, I saw Crystal ( who I loved by the way ) and she helped explain to me the process and everything about how we are going to look at things and see if we can find anything. For PCOS, there's 3 tests to run and you need to pass 2 for a diagnosis: it's your symptoms, bloodwork, and doing an ultrasound. So I get my blood work done. I am called by the office to say that one of my hormones ( I cannot remember the name to save me ) was too high to they're sending it to a radiologist and they'll call me back when they heard from them and I schedule another appointment. I never get a call back. So I called up there and I was told that they have no idea what I was talking about and there's nothing about a radiologist at all. I ended up having to reschedule my appointment because I'm in college and driving two hours on a Wednesday wasn't feasible. I told them I wanted to specifically meet Crystal and said I will not see anyone else (so I don't have to reexplain anything or repeat myself on things. I also am autistic and it's a form of routine for me). Then turn around and they rescheduled it again because they said that Crystal was overbooked. Ok whatever. Hurricane happens and it gets rescheduled again. I get it, it's understandable except I had ran out of my birth control and Walgreens told me there were no refills and to call the office. Again, I tell them that I specifically want to meet Crystal and I'll only take a day she's available as long as it wasn't Wednesday. So I called the office again and they told me that nothing could be done because their system was down. Anyway, after like four/five months, I finally get to my appointment. And it's a different doctor than I said I needed to meet. They put me with Gwen. I asked why did they schedule me with someone different and I was just told "well we wanted to see you as soon as possible". Mind you, I have requested for Crystal twice atp. Anyway, I mentioned never hearing back from radiology and the birth control situation. I find out two things: a) they did have stuff from radiology. Turns out my bloodwork wasn't concerning enough for them and b) they could've called the Walgreens since the phones were clearly working to submit an emergency prescription. So atp, I was off my birth control for two weeks. Continuing further in the appointment, I explain to Gwen my concerns: having highly irregular periods that last either weeks or a mere day at a time as well as getting them from twice in a month to not for months at a done being the biggest concern ( amongst the other symptoms I have but they're not relevant ) She tells me she doubts I have PCOS because I'm not insulin resistant. Mind you, insulin resistance is not a requirement for PCOS. I've met people who have PCOS and are not insulin resistant at all. Yes, my family has a history of t2 diabetes but I take care of my body. I explained this to her bc it's not like I didn't do my research or not speak with people who've experienced it— and she doubled down. She then shuts down all of my concerns about my cycle, saying "it's normal" so she doesn't want to continue testing for it. The whole reason I was sitting there is because it's not normal? What's not normal is the amount of times I've missed class because I was in severe pain. The times I physically passed out in school because I was nauseous and in pain from my periods. Missing four months for one day of bleeding to having it for a whole month is not normal. Undermining my issues: the ones I know are *not normal*. I know PCOS and endo are a pain in the ass to get dxed already and most people have to fight for it but I never thought I'd have to deal with THAT. I was so pissed off afterwards. Afterwards, I'm told they'll have refills available for at least twice. Now I'm having to call again for my prescription because they did not put refills in. Never will I recommend this place.

I have had many unpleasant obgyn experiences and I could scream with how comfortable and happy I was here. This office was like night and day from my previous. I have such high anxiety with these kinda appointments but all the staff was fantastic. Gwen and her nurse were educational , and informative. A little funny too. I will definitely recommend this office and will try to be a little less cranky at my appointments. Really trustworthy providers. This was the first time I had been to any practice and felt like a person and not a $$.

I've been coming here for years. I first saw Dr. Heimbeker when he was at another practice when I was teenager, many years ago. I appreciate how he always makes you feel at ease and answers all your questions. The nurses and staff at this office have always been personable and caring. I love the small office vibe and prefer it to any other office I have been to. Usually I am seen in a timely manner if not it's usually because people don't arrive on time for their appointments and throws off the day. I would recommend this practice for anyone looking for a good women's dr., just know that they do not deliver anymore if you are looking for prenatal care.
