I recently had a blepharoplasty. I was awake for the procedure, but the eye was numb. Dr Janssen was so intuitive. Every time that I felt so much as a twitch, he would stop, ask me if I felt that and numb the area a little more before continuing. The entire team. Jay, PA and Monika, RN (I think that was her name) were also amazing. They put me at ease and Jay answered all my questions with valuable information at the post-op appointment. Kudos to FVPS. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

I am somewhat surprised that the whole reason I wanted what I thought was a facelift...the removal of wrinkles above and below my mouth,,,was not something the facelift was designed to accompish. Perhaps I was not clear in telling Dr. J that this was my reason for the visit. I thought I had said, and maybe I didn't, what my goal was. I wonder if his response might have been:
a. Oh, I don't do that area. And if that's what you want, I can
do your neck and, later, your mouth area with a laser, but a
regular facelift would not be necessary. Or...'
b. OK. I can do the laser treatment around your mouth as a
part of the face and necklift procedure.;;;or....
c. If the mouth area is all you want, we can do that as a laser
treatment at another time.
Dr. J told me today that, in aboiut three months, I could have this
laser treatment. But I have to say that my expectations were not his and, as a result, I have been somewhat disappointed with the results. I will see Dr. J again on May 19th and will share this with him at that time also. Thanks. Jeff Zdrale

I have been seeing Dr. Jannsen since 2015 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. His knowledge in this area is unmatched. He takes the time to understand what YOU want in the end and makes sure to explain if that is the safest and best way to go. Going in you know you’re not his only patient but you leave feeling like he really knows you. His staff is equally educated and caring. I tell everyone how pleased I am with him and his coworkers.

I am editing my review because my initial review was too harsh for my results and experience. Dr David Janssen did a good job with my rhinoplasty in 2021 and I have a nose that I like much better than the nose I was born with. At the same time, it's worth mentioning that I'm disappointed with how our conversation went during my 1 year post-op appointment when I brought up the break midway down my nose where I noticed some mild bulbosity/lack of definition. I wanted to know more about why it looked the way it did and what could be done.
When I brought this up at the appointment, Dr Janssen told me about a Korean patient who got a rhinoplasty and he was disowned by his family because he didn't look "Korean" anymore. He also said he wouldn't give me a steroid shot because it wouldn't help (info that I appreciated). In hindsight, I wish I had asked him to clarify what he meant by bringing up the Korean patient since it wasn't relevant to my situation, but at that point I was taken aback and wanted to go home.
Even though Dr Janssen did a good job with my rhinoplasty, this interaction exacerbated how negatively I felt about the minor imperfections for a while.
