Labiaplasty Week 1: Coping With Popped Stitches & Strange Sensations

Photos

The patient is 7 days post-op and recovering well, though she finds the lack of exercise and limited movement frustrating. While using the restroom, she accidentally caught a stitch that had popped out, causing unexpected pain. Additionally, she has been experiencing sharp, tingling, and shooting sensations, which have disrupted her sleep. At this stage, nerve regeneration and healing can cause random sharp or tingling pains, which is a normal part of the labiaplasty recovery process. The popped stitch may not necessarily affect healing, but monitoring for any signs of separation or infection is important. As healing progresses, these sensations should gradually subside.
