Dr. Karroll Payne, MD

I had my initial visit with Dr. Payne on 11/13/24. The process to schedule online was quick and seamless. The check-in process at the time of my appointment went well also. The doctor herself was pretty nice, not overly friendly, but nice enough for me to return just for yearly visits. During this appointment, we discussed regulating my cycle, changing my birth control, and having an ultrasound on the next visit. The next visit came one week later. Again, staff were nice. But, there was no mention of the ultrasound. She just stated that we would be removing the birth control implant. Her lidocaine order was not in; therefore, I was asked to return later that afternoon. I waited in the Mandeville area for hours only to get a text, not a courtesy call, telling me it was still not in and I’d get a call the next week. I followed up with them today (11/25/24) as I am having complications. I asked to have a return call from a nurse who I’d actually interacted with at the appointments. That is where the issues came in. The office manager was extremely rude and condescending, interrupting me when I tried to speak. I have never had an issue requesting a call back from a nurse at any other doctor. As an office manager of three FQHCs, I know I do not interrupt patients and I try to accommodate them as best as possible. When patients are frustrated or concerned, that is where I step up to address their concerns and make them feel as best I can about the circumstances. Because of this, I will not be a return patient NOR will I recommend this physician to anyone. I am sure he’ll have a snarky response as he has with previous low rated reviews lol. Lack of professionalism at its finest.

Dr. Payne is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I was referred to her because of her expertise in hormones/perimenopause and she did not disappoint in all her knowledge! She was empathetic, an active listener, and made me feel at ease! Very down to earth and did not rush me or rush the visit! I would recommend her 100/10! She also has Saturday appointments!

Dr. Payne was absolutely amazing! Everyone in the office as well as herself were very warm and welcoming. I would consider making her my primary doctor. She made me feel very comfortable and was able to take care of everything I came to see her for. I'm glad she is available on the weekends. I am a teacher and it is sometimes hard to take off, but our health is very important. She is the best doctor I have come in contact with, so far.

My visit with Dr. Payne was a great experience. She has wonderful bedside manner. She took the time to listen and addressed all of my concerns. Front desk is super nice and very organized. I am a patient for life!!. I’m So Thankful I found Dr. Payne.

Okay, I don’t even know where to begin. The wait time was literally five minutes OR LESS before I was walked to the back to be seen. The receptionist, NOTHING short of AMAZING! Super friendly, made me feel so welcome and comfortable. He actually gave me some really good life advice while I was there & told me some things I really needed to hear from an outside source (someone who’s not family). & Dr. Payne was the sweetest! So gentle and real! I felt like I had known her my whole life, she made me feel so comfortable! I would definitely recommend this office, 10/10 for sure! I’m so glad to have her here in Mandeville. She’s definitely what some of us needed over here.
