Dr. Ravi Somayazula

It has been close to a year since I had my surgeries. The procedures I had done were: Reverse Abdominoplasty, Breast Lift and Implant Exchange, and Transverse Upper Body Lift. During a consultation, I told Dr. Ravi my concerns. My stomach had inconsistencies in my lower abdomen area; he suggested a reverse tummy tuck. Standing in front of a full length mirror, he placed his hand on my stomach, pulling up my skin on my stomach to show me how it would look MUCH flatter and better!! Next, I showed Dr. Ravi where my skin sagged on my back just below my shoulder blades. I was willing to have a scar on my back if he could remove the skin sagging. He said he could cut the skin, pulling it up on my lower back, then I’d no longer have that as well. My last concern was skin sagging under my arms. I had a Brachioplasty 7 years earlier and this would be a revision of that. Dr. Ravi also suggested I have a breast lift, and showed me in the mirror how they would look, because it appeared that my breast aug 7 years earlier had begun to sag. I wasn’t initially planning on doing that, but it looked so much better in the mirror when he pushed them up. I agreed to this, as well. These procedures were very expensive, as anyone knows. After spending around $25k I felt I would look much better and feel confident with my decisions. I did not expect any different outcome but improvements. These are professional plastic surgeons. Why would you think otherwise?! Right?! Wrong!!!! First of all, my original breast implants did NOT need replacing. I thought with this breast lift, they’d look like they did when I first got them. My breasts only appeared lifted because some skin was cut out from underneath, but my breasts themselves do not look like a breast lift. Had I known they were going to look like this, I’d have never proceeded with this—weighing the cost vs the outcome. Next, my Brachioplasty: my arms were pulled nice and snug but then the pull abruptly stops and the excess skin just starts again. So looking at my back, I have the most ridiculous BULGE at the top/back of my arm. I wore sleeves after this surgery for months while in the healing process, following instructions; to see this end result was devastating, to say the least. Lastly, my Reverse Tummy Tuck was not at all what I expected. My stomach feeling flat for years, since I had Liposuction in that area, now going to losing that tightness to now feeling like I have to constantly “suck it in” to just fit into clothes I had prior to this surgery, was another devastation! I am now at least 5” in circumference larger around my midsection than I was prior. I’ve consulted with other plastic surgeons to fix these issues, but the amount of money needed is absorbent. It feels like the money I spent was a waste, not to mention surgery and healing time. I have addressed my concerns each time I returned to Dr. Ravi and he only suggested that to fix all the issues, if I went with TWO MORE procedures I mentioned, in order for me to get a “discount”: (a butt lift and thigh lift)!!! If I did not get the next 2 procedures, I’d have to spend another $14k. If I didn’t go through with 2 more procedures, I’d have to spend another $10k+ Just to repair his initial work! I feel as if I’ve done nothing but thrown good money after in bad, and also been given unrealistic expectations as to how I would look later. Had Dr. Ravi not held up my skin in order to give the appearance of how I would look, and had been totally realistic and HONEST with me about possible outcomes, I’d have rethought the myriad of procedures! My ARMS look ridiculous now and my breasts could have been left alone altogether. There is not enough difference worth the amount I spent $$$. 😔🥺😔😠

My personal experience was, a breast implant exchange of my 28 year old, under the muscle, saline implants that finally gave out. I had a good idea what to expect in the process, but Dr Ravi was amazing. From the initial consultation, he answered all my questions, I never felt like he was rushing thru any appointment. Which is so appreciated! Because I had no information on the size of my original implant, we had to drain and measure - which to me sounded like the scariest part of the whole process, but Dr Ravi and his team made me feel relaxed and the process was as easy as he explained. The morning of the surgery was stress free, the medical staff was lovely from start to finish, explaining every step the whole way through. The exchange surgery was quick and easy (for me) and I was never uncomfortable in any way. I experienced no pain, through the whole process, and never even needed Tylenol for n recovery. I think I forgot to even mention in another review that my breasts look amazing and are exactly what I wanted. I can’t recommend Body by Ravi enough!

Exceptional! That's the single word I would use to describe my experience, but if you care to read more... I am a 47yr old 6' male and until I was 42 I had not done a great job of taking care of myself. Around that time I started to make some changes and long story long between '18-'20 I lost roughly 80 pounds and then over the next two years healthily gained about 30 back leaving me at roughly 175lbs. I was in shape and getting healthier and fitter literally everyday. But, I also had some extra skin and residual belly/lovehandle fat that I could NOT get rid of. To say it bothered me is a huge understatement. It muted my self esteem and self confidence. It influenced every clothing decision I made and a lot more. So, earlier this year, I consulted my primary care Dr. and did some research on how I might get medical help with this not so little problem. Now, for the good part. I met with three physicians and everything about Dr. Ravi's office was better, period. From the first contact through me typing this, 5 months later, every single interaction I have had has been exceptional. The entire team is kind, safe, incredibly attentive, patient, reassuring, fun. Dr. Ravi suggested I have an abdominoplasty with some liposuction in my flanks. The support and care started immediately, from crystal clear pre-op instructions to having a group text thread with the care team for questions or concerns. On surgery day I was made to feel like I was the only patient that mattered (because I was, they schedule it that way). Recovery has had some challenges but few and nothing that we didn't talk about beforehand. I was moving around doing things on my own within a week. I was driving and working at the 2 week mark. We are 3 days shy of the 5 month mark and I can do anything I could do before surgery. The pain and physical discomfort have been pretty minimal (take the anti-constipation meds seriously!). My self esteem and self confidence aren't muted and I am excited every day to keep working on the recovery and getting my body into better and better shape knowing there isn't something that hard work and good diet can't fix anymore. In case I haven't made it clear, I would recommend this team 100000%. P.s. I have a severe vasovagal response and at my first post op check in it got triggered. The sensitive spots from the surgery and having the compression garment loosened for first time caused a really bad attack. I was in full panic both physically and mentally. Karina handled the situation flawlessly and I use the word intentionally. Only one person has ever been able to help me come out of that sort of thing faster and you can imagine she isn't a stranger to me. Even after she had clearly helped calm the response, Dr. Ravi still came (I think out of surgery) to briefly check on me. Anyway...like I said, EXCEPTIONAL Thank you to Dr. Ravi, Karina, Lys, Morgan, the surgical team (I'm so sorry I don't remember your names this moment) and every soul who makes this place what it is.

Just not happy with the results what I have received should have been so much better than what I got for the money. My belly button looks like his competition picture that he shows on the website.
