My surgery went well and I'm so thrilled with the results. Dr. Weintraub truly has your best interest at heart. She made me run a ton of tests before having surgery because of some suspect blood results (I ended up being fine) but she refused surgery at her own expense until it was resolved. I couldn't recommend her more highly.

I called to book a consultation for breast reduction surgery on 7/3/24 & spoke to the receptionist. During the phone call, I explained that I had MS, provided the name & dosage of my medication, & gave my height/weight. Upon hearing my height & weight, she said, "We can't operate on people with your BMI." I was shocked & offended & asked her if I couldn't at least book the consultation to ask the doctor questions myself. She said I could & booked me for a consultation on 7/18/24. She then collected $250 consultation fee & explained that it would be used as a credit towards whatever balance I would incur. On 7/16/24, I received a DocuSign to fill out my health history. I reiterated on the form my MS diagnosis, MS medication, height/weight, etc. On 7/18/24, I showed up for my consultation. Dr. Weintraub entered & the first thing she said was, "I reviewed your chart & I cannot operate on someone who is on this type of treatment." I was immediately put on the defensive. I thought the main issue at this consultation was going to be my BMI per my first conversation with the receptionist. My MS diagnosis/treatment hadn't even come up until this point. I explained to Dr. Weintraub that I had already checked in with my neurologist & was given the green light for this type of surgery. I also explained that I had gotten two other surgeries while on MS treatment. Her response was, "Neurologists don't know what we do and your other surgeries haven't been that intense". She also called me "medically complicated" (which I'm not) & then she admitted that she'd never operated on anyone with MS nor heard of my medication. Why did she lead my appointment by telling me I wasn't a candidate when she'd actually never had experience with patients like me? Towards the end of the appointment, her tone changed & she said, "Let's meet again in October. Continue your weight loss & I'll take the time to research more about MS & your medication. We'll figure this out." We scheduled an October appointment and I then immediately alerted my neurologist to have her contact Dr. Weintraub. My neurologist contacted Dr. Weintraub that same afternoon to answer whatever questions she could. Today, 9/5/24, Dr. Weintraub emailed me and said that, while she thinks I could have a successful surgery given my particular medical situation, she won't do it and recommended a different doctor. She then said she'd gone ahead and cancelled my October appointment with her. I'm crushed. I have successfully lost enough weight that my BMI now qualifies per the surgery center's rules, I have continued to consult with my personal doctors to make sure I'm in the best possible health for surgery, and all the while I have endured over-pathologizing and ableism from this doctor. I was really looking forward to the October appointment to update the doctor on my progress and this has all come crashing down. I then contacted the receptionist to ask if my $250 deposit could be used towards a different treatment that they offer like Botox or injectables. The receptionist said no. She said that the $250 could only be used as a deposit towards a surgery since that was what I originally came in for. Dr. Weintraub, your team has traumatized me more than I can express. The medical world does not understand MS and that burden is not on me. I did everything right but you took my money and refused to treat me. You knew of my diagnosis and treatment in early July but strung me along. You refused to honor my $250 deposit in good faith. Send your intake forms further in advance to give yourself ample time to review them before charging people money only to tell them you can't help. How dare you treat me like this and run your business this way. You should be ashamed of yourself. I deserve better than this.

By far the best clinic at Stanford and in the whole Bay Area! Both doctors are incredibly talented, professional, educated, honest, attentive and compassionate. Like hundreds of women in the Bay Area, I am incredibly thankful to Dr. Weintraub for changing my face and my life. I call it "a miracle", they call it "work". With Duet Plastic Surgery you can't go wrong!

I had a breast augmentation and mastoplexy with Dr. Lim assisted by Dr. Weintraub( yes you get the honor of having 2 , Stanford trained plastic surgeons). She is down to earth and honest. After contemplating this for year, I decided to go for it, happy 50th ..lol. I have no regrets. They did a beautiful, natural job! Jolie, office manager , was so helpful and kind throughout this journey. What I most appreciated was the quick response from Dr. Lim before and after my procedure. The staff in the OR were also wonderful. I am a nurse and could recognize the joy and commitment of this wonderful team, they are professional, compassionate, honest and dedicated. If you are considering breast augmentation, bbl, mommy makeover, etc. I strongly recommend the Duet team!
