I recently visited Dr. Lakin's office, and my experience was exceptional. My consultant, Taylor, was outstanding throughout the entire process. From our initial consultation, she was warm and attentive, actively listening as I shared my medical history, including a previous surgery in Turkey. Taylor ensured that Dr. Lakin was fully informed about my situation, allowing us to dive right into the important details without unnecessary delays. When Dr. Lakin entered the examining room, he greeted me with a cordial handshake and a genuine smile. He was well-informed about my concerns and did not waste time on a sales pitch; instead, we focused on my specific needs. After conducting a thorough examination, he highlighted the issues resulting from my previous surgery, which involved a botched tummy tuck and lower body lift. His candor and expertise were evident, and I felt confident in his ability to perform the necessary corrective procedures. I want to emphasize an important point for anyone considering cosmetic surgery abroad: it’s essential to carefully evaluate the true cost and risks involved. While it may seem cheaper at first glance, you must factor in expenses such as flights, hotel accommodations, transportation, and food. Many cosmetic clinics offer packages that include transportation and lodging, but these are often subpar, providing accommodations that may barely merit a one-star rating. In my case, I did not accept their hotel package and instead made my own arrangements, as their accommodations were simply not adequate at all. Moreover, these clinics tend to offer the shortest possible timeframes to complete procedures and expedite your departure, which can be dangerous if complications arise. In my case, I stayed for three weeks and still experienced complications, leading to the need for a complete redo of the surgery. Unfortunately, you often have no recourse or guarantee when dealing with overseas doctors. In short, buyer beware: the adage "you get what you pay for" rings true. By the time you account for all related expenses, you may find that you didn’t save any money at all. I recommend getting procedures done here at home, where you can ensure quality care and support throughout the recovery process. This was my third consultation, and I can confidently say that Dr. Lakin and Taylor’s professionalism and commitment to patient care stood out to me. Dr. Lakin is an amazing surgeon. I am 64 years old and had old implants replaced. Dr. Lakin helped me pick the perfect implant size and shape. He also did a Benelli lift with a new stitch technique. The results are PERFECT! The size, shape and placement exceeded my expectations, and the healing was fast with very little visible scarring after 6 months. I am so glad I listened to the other positive reviews and picked him to do my replacement. His staff is another plus that would make me go there again - every person we interacted with was friendly and helpful.
