I used Madison Women's Clinic for 1 and 1/2 pregnancies. I moved during the second, which is the only reason I stopped going there. I loved my experiences with the midwives. During my first pregnancy, it took me a while to warm up to Dr. Frahm, but when the day came for my baby to be born, she was great. The second pregnancy, I had no issues at all with her. My experiences with the OBGYNs were mixed. They were pleasant, but wanted to make more jokes than address my concerns. I was very grateful I did not have to have any kind of surgery on the day of delivery since I had spent far more time with the midwives than the OBs. The people in the billing department have always been super thorough and helpful when I have had issues with my insurance. There seems to be a lot of turn over lately in the office with the people who prep you before the midwives/drs see you, and this time around (2025) they were not as professional as they were for me in 2023. I always had a hard time catching the emergency nurse, which made stressful situations even more stressful. Maybe that has changed though.

Everyone at this clinic was amazing to work with. Especially with my high risk pregnancy. I unfortunately can’t rate 5 stars based on my poor delivery experience with Dr. Evans. He performs some out of practice exercises during delivery including episiotomies and forceps. He will pressure you into it with out informed consent. I felt completely lied to and manipulated by him during my delivery. I ended up having a VERY traumatic birth experience with him, I do think a lot of it could have been avoided had I been listened to, treated as an equal and not manipulated. I wish I was able to have had Amber do the delivery with me as originally planned. But due to my high risk pregnancy I was forced to switch providers. It’s unfortunate because I really did love everyone else there for my prenatal care! Very attentive, kind and compassionate. Willing to answer every question I had. Especially one nurse, whose name I don’t remember, but she administered the necessary steroid shots. She was very kind. Overall I do recommend you go here but avoid Dr Evans.

Everyone who works at Madison Women’s Clinic is so sweet and kind. Every interaction I have had has been so positive, as everyone is so kind and makes it feel like such a positive environment. Dr. Amber Redd is great and I can tell she really cares about each of her patients!

This clinic has an overwhelming amount of bad reviews. Please listen to these women and go elsewhere. I too unfortunately had a bad experience here that happened several years ago but traumatized me for years. They placed an IUD (charged $1200) and it fell out about a week later. I was in another state and was unable to get immediate help. They said it’s only 1% that it would fall out but they must’ve placed it wrong because of how easily it shifted. They tried placing it again (a second one) and they weren’t able to. Really weird experience. And how they treated me the whole time.. with so much condescension as if it was all my fault. A lot of intolerable pain during both appts. Since then I’ve pretty much made it my mission to tell every woman I know in Rexburg to avoid this place and hopefully there will be less victims of this awful Obgyn office. Once I went to another obgyn and received medical care 100000 times bette than here I know that this place is just awful

Terrible experience. I got work off weeks in advance to make it to this appointment. They ended up drawing my blood and I nearly passed out of because of it. Afterwards the nurse informed me that she should’ve asked if I had eaten anything before drawing my blood because they was likely why I nearly passed out. She also was moving around and fiddling with other things as the needle was in my arm! Ouch. After about 20 min of laying on the bed I was able to leave (with a few pushy reminders from staff as I was feeling like throwing up). I was supposed to go in 2 weeks later after they got the results back. 2 days before my appointment a got a TEXT, not a call, saying that they had forgotten to send my blood sample to the lab and they would need to take it again. I asked them to call me multiple times and they refused. I was not impressed by anyone here and will not be returning. And yet they still sent me a bill. 1 star.
