I’ve been dealing with chronic UTI/IC/pelvic floor problems/perimenopause and atrophy etc. since 2020. Waited 8 months for this appt for basically a second opinion and to see what other options (like MonaLisa, hormone replacement, etc.) I might have available to me instead of my current long term antibiotic regimen. Honestly I felt more knowledgeable than the nurses (two different nurses were needed to fill in my daily medications/diagnoses/history?) and doctor on my urogynecologic conditions. Was also not really asked permission to do a “quick”catherization and was found to be retaining but that it was “normal” (I know this is not the case and that I do have abnormal retention thanks to a myriad of previous testing). The cath caused a flare up for a couple of weeks, and another acute UTI infection. For someone supposedly well versed in chronic UTI I was a little surprised this even took place with the possibility of negative effects to a patient like me. I was hopeful but left extremely disappointed and feeling a little gaslit, as in this office was sort of like “and what were you expecting us to do for you?” I overall have found better guidance in some of my UTI and women’s issues-focused FB groups!

My elderly mom went septic twice and almost died from a uti. Referred to Dr. South and my mom has been great since. I think its going on 4 years. Dr. South and her staff are always responsive to my elderly moms needs and take her seriously when she knows she is getting a uti. Dr. SOUTH, in my opinion, has literally kept my mom out of the hospital and alive for the last 4 years. To many old people die from stupid uti that are easily treated. Sadly, older people don't always know they have them and other Doctors don't take old people seriously when they think they may have one. Thank you Dr. SOUTH. You are literally the BEST!

I was a new patient today in Dr South's office. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. Dr South was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and professional. She took care of my issue in the office during my visit today and I am so thankful for her. I would hands down recommend her!

I was recommended to Dr. South for a bladder issue. It was the best recommendation I’ve ever gotten.I had surgery with no problems whatsoever very little restrictions. I was back to work in no time. Dr. South and her entire staff were kind, caring, and understanding from day one. I felt understood with each of my concerns, and that made all of the difference! Dr. South and her team explained everything that was happening to my body and what the possible solutions were each step of the way. They let me decide what would happen and respected my decisions for my treatment. When surgery was the next step, all my fears were quashed with discussions with the team, and the procedure was the best decision I have made for myself. My only regret is that I did not go to Dr. South SOONER. I am thankful for her and her staff for everything they have done for me, and for their thoughtfulness along the way!
