The doctor was wonderful, however correspondence is horrendous. I had several sonograms taken in June and to date I haven't received my results. There has been several back and forth responses and nothing. A bunch of jerking around and I still have not had my results given to me. And when I contact the text messaging, they told me the office is temporarily closed and the doctor comes in once a month... how nice!!! It's sad that no one cares any more!!!!!!

Dr. Noreen was very thorough and took the time to explain everything to me. I had a good experience while I was there, but I tried to get in touch with her several times by phone and through their online system and no one responds. I originally went to her for PCOS and she put me on birth control. I have genuine concerns about how I am feeling and to be ignored by your doctor is extremely frustrating. I completely understand that I am not her only patient, but at some point someone should at least answer the phone.

I saw this doctor awhile ago, and have put off a review because I just wanted to forget the experience. But I do feel like it’s important to share so that others can avoid what I went through. If you are plus size, avoid this doctor at all costs. She is extremely judgmental, will not listen to you, and only cares about looks. When I booked the appointment, I made sure to make it clear that I was in recovery from severe eating disorders and did not want to discuss my weight or weight loss. I focus on my overall health and not the number on the scale. This is what works for me. I was there for a simple Pap smear only. As soon as this doctor walked in the room, she said to me “hi, you know my friends have started these weight loss injections that you should try.” I was completely dumbfounded. I reminded her that I did not want to discuss that. She brought it up again several times throughout the visit. I was quite literally sweating because I was so anxious and overwhelmed. She kept insisting that there was something wrong with me because there’s no way someone could just be naturally heavy. I kept having to try to steer the conversation away. Never once did she ask about my lifestyle, my diet, my stress levels, my sleep habits, etc. She simply judged me based on the way I look without knowing a single thing about me. I left the visit nearly in tears. It has taken me years to overcome my eating disorders and to accept myself the way I am. It has taken me years to realize that I deserve to be healthy and to treat my body well without starving it. I take my health very seriously. I eat a balanced diet and move my body frequently. I manage my stress levels and sleep habits. However this doctor didn’t care about any of that. She just saw a fat person and decided that I needed to change who I am and be judged. Doctors like her are the reason I hate going to doctors and why I skip appointments. Doctors like her cause real harm to people and cause them to miss out on medical services because we are so sick of being judged. I cannot recommend enough that you see someone else instead. Unless you are thin, then maybe she will treat you like a human being and actually ask you about your habits.

The absolute best GYN in Staten Island! Prior to finding Dr. Mostafavi! I was not satisfied with my prior gyn! So I browsed and I found Dr. Mostafavi and made an appointment immediately! When I say she’s thorough she’s THOROUGH! She’s not a come in… go out… next ! You’re not a number ! You’re a human being and she ensures that she gives you the time you deserve per visit! What was lacking from my prior gyn! She fulfilled it every single time! She gave honest advice, she will take the time to do every and anything required to ensure that you are taken care of properly! She’s respectful , very funny and down to earth! Not to mention very beautiful! Inside and out!!! Dr. Noreen, you’re an absolute blessing and Thank you for being who you are!!! Never change! Keep shining ! We appreciate you so much!!!!

I’ve been sitting on whether or not to leave this review for two days now, but the frustration and disappointment this office made me feel needs to be known. I’ve been experiencing many side effects from going off of the pill within the last couple of months. I called to make an appointment with Dr. Mostafavi and they originally gave me an end of may appointment with the promise that the doctor or PA would call me in the meantime because I’ve truly been worried about my health. First problem here is no one ever called me after the promise that someone would reach out. The office called me again to cancel this end of may appointment due to the doctor all of a sudden changing her hours. Luckily, they were able to squeeze me in this past Friday for the first appointment at 9am. This was incredible news as I was hoping to speak with someone ASAP. I get to my appointment (again, I’m the first appointment of the day) right as the doors were opening. I wait for about 20 minutes until I’m finally called back for my vitals. After my vitals being taken, I wait another 30 minutes. At 9:55, I decide to ask how much longer as I should have been seen by now (you would think, since I was the first appointment!) I was told it would be another 20 minutes. At this point, I was furious and upset. WHY give me the first appointment of the day when I’m still waiting an hour and a half to be seen? What is taking so long for someone to come in my room to see me, when there’s literally NO ONE in front of me? It’s one thing to have to wait some time for an afternoon or evening appointment, but this was just an absolute let down. I’m already used to waiting a long time in this office but when you’re the first patient of the day, you shouldn’t have to wait at all. I left in tears and didn’t even end up seeing the doctor. I had another appointment that I had to make at 10:30 so it was impossible for me to stay and see her. I was told that I would be seen right away and me having to be out by 10:30 would not be an issue. I can’t stand to wait for someone who has absolutely no care or value for the time of others.
