Renaissance Center for Plastic Surgery & Wellness - Dr. Mary Ann Contogiannis, MD

To anyone considering cosmetic surgery or any aesthetic enhancement procedures, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Contogiannis and her staff at the Renaissance Center for Plastic Surgery and Wellness. I can’t thank them enough! I had been wanting to have a few things done for some time now but I never seemed to find the right place or doctor, and I would end up talking myself out of it— until I met Dr.C! From the very first consultation, I felt comfortable and confident in her expertise. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and professional, and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. Everyone made me instantly feel at ease throughout the entire process. Dr. C took the time to listen to my goals and concerns, and gave me clear explanations on all my questions. Her and her team were always available and reminded me every visit that if I had any questions, big or small, to give them a call. With Dr. Contogiannis, I never feel like “just another case to a doctor”, I felt truly seen and valued. My surgery didn’t finish until around 5 PM, yet she still took the time to call me that evening to check on me, even though I had an appointment the following morning. And although I already knew the recovery of my particular surgery would have its challenges, everyone went above and beyond to make sure I was well prepared for the surgery itself and has been so amazing through my recovery process with ensuring I’m at ease, comfortable, and recovering properly. This experience has completely exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be happier. Once again, I want to sincerely thank Dr. Contogiannis and the entire team for their professionalism, care, compassion, and support.

I just want to thank Angela, Liz and Dr. C for the best experience anyone could ever have with breast augmentation. They are absolute best. Always professional , courteous and kind. All my questions were answered to absolute perfection. I was told every step upfront. I had no reservations about the procedure because they made sure I felt comfortable and was completely informed of all aspects of what was going to happen. Dr. C is the best in the business and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for the services she offers.

First of all, when appointment was made for today, 6/17/24, a consultation's fee was NEVER disclosed or discussed by Liz. I have lived for 70 years, and I do realize some doctors are charging a consultation fee, and others are not. I drove 40 minutes to my consult with the doctor today, and after completing three (3 pages) of a lengthy questionnaire, I was told that a $100 consult was due. I very kindly told the receptionist that no one, at anytime during our telephone communication or even through email correspondence had mentioned a consultation fee! Liz, the woman who had spoken to me and communicated by email came out front to try to insult my intelligence. I told her she did not communicate a consult fee, and I asked her point blank, “did you tell me” and she had to admit she probably didn’t. Well, after this exchange, I didn’t feel good about the visit. I sat a few minutes while they were discussing it in the back with the doctor. Let me tell you, I am blessed to pay for my surgery, if decided to move forward, with cash. And, I didn’t have any problem with paying a $100 for the doctor’s time. For me, it was the principle of trying to make me out to be a liar. I’ve never been treated this way in any doctor’s office. I finally walked up to the desk and told the receptionist that I didn’t like the way I was treated, give me my medical information and I would leave. Then, she told me that the doctor had decided that their policy was to get a deposit of $100, she would cancel my appt. I am the last person to pull the race card, but I do wonder what would have happened if I were not a woman of color! I believe most doctors would have acknowledged the miscommunication and done the consultation and not worried about $100. There were no apologies for their mistake or for me driving 40 miles to this dreadful location. I sincerely believe that God works in mysterious ways, because from the look of this dilapidated building, with spider webs all along the doors, and office is located on the “second floor” with lots of stairs on the backside of a building, stairs had trash and spider webs, also. I was having second thoughts about it, before I entered! It all worked out, but I wanted to share this awful experience with you, the public! No one should be treated in this manner, because of a very measly $100 and the doctor’s staff, Liz, miscommunication! BE AWARE! I don’t want to give any stars but I must give something for it to be accepted!

I can’t begin to express my gratitude for Dr C and her staff. I first met her over 10 years ago when I had my first breast augmentation. Stellar bedside manner as well and being extremely transparent with every detail of surgery and recovery. I needed my implants to be replaced and not only did she remember me after all those years, she was just as enthusiastic and knowable as when I first met her. You can feel that she loves her of patients and listens to their concerns. I instantly feel at ease in her office and my second surgery was just as amazing as my first. With age creeping up on me, I love that she is constantly looking for ways to make her patients age gracefully! She is one of a kind!!!

Dr. Contogiannis and her staff are fantastic! I did my research for a board certified doctor, up to date with the latest technics and experience. Dr. Contogiannis checks all these boxes. From my consultation to the day of my surgery (abdominal liposuction) I was confident that I had made the right decision to go to the Renaissance Center. Plus the one full year of after care! Dr. Contogiannis even called me the first night post surgery to check in on me, making sure I was doing well! I am 100% satisfied with the work I had done. I thank her and her staff for a great first time experience with plastic surgery.
