Dr. Trevor Hansen was amazing. He and his staff go above and beyond to guide you through your procedures and help answer any questions about the process. I loved how he and his team listened and made me feel comfortable. He was professional, open, honest and I can not thank him enough! Skin cancer is nothing to take lightly and I feel blessed to have had multiple people take such great care of me. I highly recommend them.

My original post is still here and for the reason that it is a big reminder that you can literally have such confidence that your health not my looks not my desire to nip and tuck etc. Been there done that years ago, but this was where I was referred to. This is my truth in a nutshell and I'm not one to leave bad reviews unless the parties involved are absolutely in every way knowingly and purposely doing harm or posing as something that they aren't whatsoever. I thought this place was amazing...I thought I found a doctor who valued his patients more than he valued what their insurance companies pay... I thought he was going to do everything possible to help me. The reason I thought all that and possibly more than I was promised was because I didn't hesitate to ask questions. Having a bilateral mastectomy is not fun...I was beyond stressed and had just had several operations from a major injury to my spine, I was poked tested scanned and admitted into every hospital from brain swelling due to meningitis and even had it while I was pregnant. I was diagnosed with a genetic disorder of the spine only bc I went from being a star athlete about to join the military until the tests showed I needed surgery bc if didn't get it asap as in the next week I was going to be paralyzed. After the surgery a drunk driver caused the surgery to fail and after years of therapy and surgeries and living in the waiting room of every specialist they finally got me a bit better I couldn't run or do much physically, but with time I was certain I could remain capable of overcoming hurdles in my health as it's been the case since birth, literally... also being in healthcare you tend to get used to helping people and being the patient feels like you can't do your job if you can't even be your own caretaker. However along comes another person who was too occupied with all things that didn't include her career one day so as I'm finishing up my workday and headed out to my first vacation in over 15 years or more on my son's and my birthday I instead end up with a brain injury a few broken bones a severed spinal cord and torn ligaments head to toe and I'm still recovering from that "accident". I ended up in GA bc my husband's situation and found new doctors and like a freight train here comes bad news and had I not had a mastectomy they wouldn't have even known not only was I suffering from the injuries I had cancer positive only bc the DO tested the tissue he had. Now I'm having to literally beg this doctor to help. I call no answer. I leave messages no return calls. I show up bc the oncologist and emergency room dr told me go in person and he HAS TO HELP!... I got my spouse to drive me as I'm having seizures often now I was obviously bruised and swelling in my chest neck ribs and stomach bc I fell during an episode of epilepsy and when I came to I instantly knew something was wrong with the expander it was visible and it was extremely painful and bright red. Did he see me!? No. He was telling the receptionist (not a nurse...not anyone who is licensed to provide healthcare to his patients ...it's a kind young lady but she isn't responsible for doing his job but I'm not deaf nor blind nor dumb and I heard his voice from the office of the insured lady onsite telling her to tell the receptionist to tell me to go to the ER...I haven't seen such an immature display of hot potato since I was a 12 yr old girl)... it's also important to mention that the type of surgery that he had promised was why I settled on him after doing lots of research. The day before surgery he tells me he's gonna go a different route bc *his own words* "he didn't feel comfortable with doing the surgery at that hospital bc he didn't have the proper equipment and the staff was not trained to his level of comfort to assure my health was not compromised. I was assured many months...it was information that he kept from me bc I didn't matter, next! I'm speaking the truth& WILL PROVE IT by posting his surgery results and the rupture he hasn't even looked at. Who does that!? How?

I've been working with Dr Hansen and another surgeon for my breast health and so far I couldn't have asked for a better team. They do well working, corresponding and traversing the murky waters of my health history and that alone speaks volumes. I know he's not the oldest Dr in town, but honestly... I don't see any issues with this bc as I've been navigating tirelessly through numerous procedures and rare issues both genetic and by happenstance, I've become quite familiar with most physician's "ways" based on their field of expertise. I've noticed sometimes (with the major exception of my pcp Dr. Hall who is absolutely amazing and stays up-to-date on his own research and practices)... that the more experienced aren't always the most apt to be accepting of newer, more innovative and advanced ways of treating or even testing their patients for a various array of dx's that can be missed very easily had they been just a bit more open mined and conducted their routine without falling into routine conduct. In other words: every patient is truly an individual and most DO KNOW their own body and when something isn't right and they most oftentimes than not, do know when a diagnostic finding or lack thereof isn't quite making sense to them bc certain symptoms may persist or the side effects of medications that they have taken for quite some time now all the sudden are making their health worsen and aren't 'typical' issues for someone in or with their condition(s) for example. What I appreciate about Dr Hansen is his easy and down to earth approach like he's there to give you assistance and in a very professional yet still friendly way. He doesn't have to sugarcoat even worst case scenario discussions because he's proactive in what can be done and what exactly he will do if for any reason you need to cross that bridge... and his assurance is confirmation that you won't be crossing it alone nor ill-equipped. There's certain people that you just feel are 'good people', they're kind and not just nice and they're here to make a difference in the world, and not thinking only about that world being theirs or their future in it. He's this type of man. I don't know who 'raised' him but he's the kind of human that was raised right like the say and the fact that someone can and has and had every intention to continue to work so diligently to accomplish the major triumphs that most gloat about, hand over the reins in that then just and bask the rest of their career in that major achievement waiting to retire and making sure every patient KNOWS this by their awards posted but in their heads they're thinking 🤔 did they get that from Amazon or photosop it or maybe that's the son of the Dr I thought I was seeing... I'm sorry but that's been my own true life experience. I can't say enough great things about my experience with Dr Hansen and all his team. Your health matters so very much to them and your fear will be basically non existent when you know he will be there to guide you and your loved ones thru any and all issues from your initial consultation to post op checkups; you'll know without a doubt that he was such a blessing to have been sent your way!
