Dr. Hans R. Kuisle, MD

Dr. Kuisle saved my face from horrific scaring. In December 2019, a pull-up bar came crashing down under my full weight and a bolt in the bar went through the middle of my forehead. It was a significant, deep, round wound in the worst possible spot. I was convinced my face was permanently disfigured. Dr. K was able to get me into his office immediately, staying after hours to care for me. He cut out the damaged tissue (again, it was a deep wound) and stitched my face back together using both internal and external sutures. He made me a promise that day I didn't believe - he promised he wouldn't leave a scar. Fast forward 13 months. Dr. K is *not* a liar. I have no recognizable scar. I would have been crushed if I had to look in a mirror every day and not see the face I've always had staring back at me, or if I had to live with people staring at a large scar instead of looking into my eyes when they speak to me. Dr. K is a kind, caring man. A true artist. Words are not enough to express my gratitude to him and his wonderful staff.

Im not one to usually write a review but because of the outstanding service I felt I needed to write an review. I love Dr Kuisle. He is so easy to talk to. I went to him because another friend had work done by him and he did such an amazing job with her. I'm 5 days post op and they have been been calling me just to see how I'm feeling. Kuisle and his staff are all extremely nice and the facility is is nice as well. Even though I'm only 5 days out I'm already happy with what I see. He definitely has an eye for what he does and he gives a great look.

Had liposuction and a leg lift over 10 years ago. His nurse told me that they don't do many of these types of surgery.That is very obvious as he forgot to tell me to be at my normal weight for the surgery, so I landed up with only a 50% reduction in fat.Also post surgery, they forgot to tell me about taking care of the scar, it was only several weeks later during an appointment that Dr Kuisle realized the mistake. As a result, I have a very large painful scar across my two bum cheeks, to the point that it often stings.I can't even scratch it as it has so much scar tissue. Realizing that there were mistakes he offered his services for free to remove a little more of the side fat . Unfortunately this meant that the scar had to be re opened. For the last 10+ years , my two bum cheeks along with both sides of my hips are numb due to the scar and pants don't fit comfortably.Every single day I feel disappointed in the results.

I’m a person more apt to take the time for a praising review than negative—but I feel almost duty-bound to relay my bad experience at Boulder Plastic Surgery. I guess it was covid boredom but I got it in my head to do something cosmetic and in my consultation with Dr. Kuisle about possibly signing up for “Plasma Pen” I was NOT informed of how my skin would be “burned” which I only learned in the chair as they started to work on me. I should have bolted right then! I was given a handout but it was all about after-care. I knew about scabbing but there were no clues to the ordeal I had in store for me regarding the very painful procedure and distressing recovery. I chose rashly, but I find it unconscionable that the patient is not fully informed about this procedure and what all it entails. So then the whole area (mustache area, and down and around to chin) is covered in scabs for a week or more and it was terribly painful and uncomfortable. Of course had it worked, MAYBE it would be worth it but after a lengthy time to heal and even the months later they said it would improve, there was still no improvement, nor could my friends see a difference so it wasn’t just my perception. When I tried to voice my concerns, Dr. Kuisle cut me off every time, arrogantly disallowing honest feedback. I asked for compensation and was told I would have to come in for “after” photos and then when I put it off a few months due to covid, they decided to not let me get an after-photo, presumably because they knew I was unhappy and that it would prove my point with evidence. I am quite sure the area doesn’t look better, I fear it looks a bit worse, and even my skin tone in that oval area looks darker now which is an ongoing stressor. I think the other doctors there are probably fine, but I would caution everyone to avoid this particular fast-buck, awful procedure without providing proper information beforehand. Another doctor there, Dr. Maxhimer is the one to see and he doesn’t do Plasm Pen…smart doctor!

I love Dr. Kuisle. He is both professional and kind. He has a good eye and aesthetic. Very skilled. Staff is professional and friendly. I've been to this office several times and have never had a bad experience or wanted to go anywhere else. Highly recommend.
