Dr. Megan O'Toole, PLLC

For me, Dr. O'Toole's practice is second to none. If I had to start over from the beginning and do everything over again for my reduction mammoplasty journey, I would choose Dr. O'Toole a second, hundredth, and thousandth time. She is incredibly kind, understanding, and knowledgeable! Every concern or question I had were quickly taken care of and answered, and I was always put at ease during visits and correspondences with the clinic. I felt very valued as a patient by everyone who works here throughout the entire process. And not to forget what's perhaps the most important detail— I'm so ecstatic with the results so far! If you're in San Antonio and seeking a surgeon for your breast care, I can't recommend anyone more than her!

My daughter is a patient of Dr.O'Toole's. I joined my daughter during one of her visits, and was so very impressed with how caring, Dr. O'Toole was with her. I had been diagnosed with Cancer in 2023 and had a double mastectomy with the immediate reconstruction of a d-flap. The surgery removed the cancer, however the reconstruction was not as successful. During my daughters office visit, we mentioned that I, too, was thinking of changing surgeons. Dr. O'Toole, took the time to briefly exam me, and quickly saw the issues I had with my past surgery. Dr. O'Toole gave me reassurance, that she could help. I immediately felt Dr. O'Toole was the type of doctor I needed. I was not wrong. During this past year, I have witnessed how Dr. O'Toole listens, and takes such care in explaining the plan, and the journey. I feel she understands how I felt about the canvas I hide under my clothes. She cared for my daughter and now cares for me. Dr. O'Toole makes me feel like family. I recommend Dr. O'Toole's skills, her caring attention and knowledge to anyone needing plastic surgery. She is indeed a warrior.

Dr O’Toole is performing reconstruction for my wife due to breast cancer. Her caring attitude, knowledge, and wit have helped us both in dealing with this mind-numbing situation. Jelissa in her office is just as caring, helpful, and highly skilled. Can’t say enough great things about the care my wife is receiving from Dr O’Toole!

Where do I start with this review, I was referred to this Dr by my amazing wound care doctor. Disappointing and unseen by OToole is how I felt after seeing her. Let’s start with the fact that I was rescheduled 3 times, the last appointment was scheduled at 9:00am and she was late, she took me into the room and literally spent less than 10 minutes “getting to know me” Dr Smith (wound care) told me that she was a great Dr sent my notes to her office and honestly I don’t even believe that she read thru my notes,. A bit of backstory I have endured several surgeries since the age of 5 up into my 50s, all along none of these doctors knowing that the tendon in my foot had been severed. Long story short, my last surgery my skin was working double time trying to heal and I was successful in the healing process and was now at a point to do graphing. She took ONE look at my foot and diagnosed with her EYES that it was my hardware that was infected and until I removed said hardware I would continue to have an infected foot. She crushed my hope of having closure and my dream of having reached a point in my healing process that she would be able to finalize my much anticipated closure and graph. She didn’t look at the pictures I TRIED to show her of my progress and was quick to tell me that my foot was infected, after her quick assessment I had to rewrap my foot and i quickly left after consulting with my surgeon. She lacks bedside manners, she lacks empathy and she doesn’t LISTEN to her future patients. She may be a great doctor when it comes to maybe other people who don’t know any better or don’t care to be heard, I am neither! I left her office feeling deflated, sad, unheard, and most of all disheartened by someone in the medical field who I felt lacked the ability to listen and really care how her patients feel.
