I have never had this happen to me EVER. I just had a phone appointment with Dr D Thomas specialist and she was so disrespectful towards me. When I received a phone call for my appointment, she sounded very monotone, seems like she didn’t want to even be there and her attitude,tone,it blown my mind away. I was like okay, I ignored it and brushed off maybe she’s having a bad day. She asked some questions about my health, I explain them, told her they found a cyst and she said it’s very small nothing to worry about but to me it’s a concerned in my opinion because I’m extremely in pain. She got upset with me because I interrupted, she wasn’t allowing me to speak, she said can I finished my sentence with “attitude, she thought I was yelling at her and normally no doctor gets upset and I never felt so attacked. She kept getting upset and raising her tone towards me. She’s like well I’m going to refer you to another doctor because we’re not getting along and going back in forth. I would never want to recommend this doctor. She seems to hate her job and could careless about her patients.

The office staff is horrible, unprofessional and gives contradicting instructions. On top of that, the phone sytem never tells you office hours; it merely tells you to call back. I chose to travel over an hour to be seen by Dr. Thomas. Sadly, I didn't even have an opportunity to meet her. She might be an amazing doctor, but her current office staff and the way the practice is being managed is costing her patients. I'd rather travel 2 hours to be treated with respect.

Prior to visiting Dr. Thomas’s office I already felt disrespected by the woman on the phone who did my intake survey. She rushed me and sounded annoyed at everything I said, including the questions I had. My first visit felt rushed and I did not feel I was taken seriously. During my second visit, I felt so disrespected that I had to hold back tears. I do not recommend Dr. Thomas at all. In my experience, she was not kind at all, had no sympathy for the pain I was in, and did not thoroughly listen to my concerns. I will not be returning, and in the future I will have a higher standard for my doctors.

If I could give this doctor a negative star, I would. It’s a shame doctors with such poor bedside manner like this doctor exist and cannot be reported to the medical board. If it’s possible to travel somewhere else I recommend you do. My mother and other family members have had the same negative experience with this doctor. I accompanied my mother to an appointment and was in disbelief with how rude, cold and short this woman was. I was there to help interpret for my mother and be by her side after she told me how rude this doctor was. The doctor proceeded to try to explain certain things to my mother in Spanish and I wish she would have just spoke English so I could better understand her in order to interpret for my mother. Trying to understand her Spanish was a struggle and the medical staff that speaks Spanish was not interpreting very well, they misinterpreted some information on forms given to my mother. I was glad to be there and help my mother make sense of everything after the appointment. During the visit, the doctor even seemed bothered to explain things when we asked questions about the procedure and then told us the information about our question was provided in the forms my mother was given during her previous visit. Ad a doctor it is her job to explain things and make sure her patients understand the procedures being done to them. The doctor then asked medical staff to provide the same forms to my mother again and the forms where completely different than what we had at home. It’s infuriating when people with a language barrier are treated poorly and then made out to be dumb for “not understanding” because their doctor failed them. It seems this doctor is more interested in collecting payments than the well being of her patients. Her patients are just another paycheck to her. She does the bare minimum in explaining the necessary information and is not helpful if anything is “needed” from her like a signature for disability insurance or work leave. I would think that as a woman she would have more compassion for her female patients but that is not the case. I’ve dealt with a lot of doctors between myself any my mothers doctors and this was by far the worst experience dealing with a doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr Thomas for several years, and find her to be exceptional. She is responsive and thorough. I would highly recommend her to anyone experiencing overactive bladder issues.
