Tummy Tuck and Breast Surgery Review I underwent a tummy tuck along with a breast implant exchange and lift with Dr. Kirbo. Overall, I’m very pleased with the tummy tuck results—the contouring is excellent, and after developing a small infection in my belly button, the revision that followed turned out beautifully. I’m genuinely happy with that part of the outcome. Unfortunately, my experience with the breast portion of the surgery was disappointing. I had informed the surgeon at my pre-op appointment that my right implant was previously larger due to the natural slant of my chest. Despite this, the same size implants were used during the exchange, and immediately after surgery I noticed the right breast was drooping and visibly appeared smaller. This asymmetry persisted well into the healing process and remains visible—especially under patterned clothing. When I voiced my concerns, the Dr. Kirbo seemed upset and told me, verbatim, that he thought the results were “better than before.” My husband and I strongly disagree. At a later appointment, I tried to discuss these concerns with one of the nurses and was dismissed with the comment, “Yeah, that’s not gonna happen.” When I brought this up with Dr. Kirbo, rather than addressing the unprofessionalism, I was told maybe their office wasn’t the right place for me. But upon my further explanation, I was told it would be addressed. To add to the frustration, when I inquired about a revision to correct the drooping and asymmetry, I was told I would be responsible for paying an additional surgical fee, as well as anesthesia costs—even though these issues were present immediately after the revision surgery. Seeking a second opinion, I consulted with Dr. Don Revis—an internationally recognized breast surgeon—who confirmed that both implants have displacement laterally and both are “bottoming out” and as a result I have lack of upper breast volume due to this. After my last conversation with Dr. Kirbo and the dismissal of my concerns, I did not feel comfortable moving forward with an additional revision surgery under his care. While I do believe Dr. Kirbo has strong technical skills—I feel the practice lacks openness to patient feedback and compassionate, professional communication. My experience was a mix of great results and disappointments, and I hope sharing my story helps others set realistic expectations.

I just want to say that Dr. DeRosier, APRN Brittany, are the greatest and took good care of me during the outpatient surgery at the hospital plus the post surgery visits in their office have been great too along with nurses Robin and Lisa's care.
